EUROLEAGUE FINAL FOUR FAN ZONE 3X3 COMPETITION RULES
- Games will be played in the half basketball courts installed in the Fan Zone.
- Each participant team shall consist of no more than 4 players (3 players on the court and 1 substitute). A player may not be registered in more than one team in the same category.
- Each participant team shall appoint a representative. For U18 and U16 categories the representative will be the legal guardian of one of the participants and will be legally responsible for the team.
- The regular playing time shall be 10 minutes without stopping the clock (under any circumstance). In the last minute of the game, the clock shall be stopped during dead ball situations and free throws. Under justified circumstances, referees may stop the clock, i.e. time-outs, incidents...
- The first possession and the tie-break situations described in point 7 below, shall be determined by a coin flip.
- Every shot from behind the arc shall be awarded 2 points. Any other shot shall be awarded 1 point.
- At the end of the regular playing time, the winner of the game will be the first team to score 21 points or with the highest score. If the score is tied at the end of the regular playing time, the 3 players on the court from each team will take a free throw, the team with the highest score wins the game. If the tie remains, the substitute players from each team will shoot from the free throw until a miss*.
* If team A player miss and team B player score, team B wins;
* If team A player score, team B player miss, team A wins.
- A team shall lose the game by forfeit if at the scheduled starting time of the game the team is not present on the playing court with 3 players ready to play.
- After every change of possession, defensive rebound or steal, the player holding the ball must cross the arc before scoring. If a team score without dribbling or passing the ball to a teammate behind the arc, the basket will be added to the opposing team's scoreboard and the possession would be for the same team. A player is considered to be behind the arc when neither of his/her feet is inside or on the arc line.
- Following each successful field goal (including free throw) the ball changes possession and a player from the non-scoring team shall resume the game by passing from behind the half-court line.
- Possession of the ball given to either team following any dead ball situation shall resume by passing the ball from the sideline or the end line.
- In the event of a jump ball situation, the possession of the ball is for the defending team and the game shall be resumed by passing the ball from behind the half-court line.
- Both teams are entitled to request a substitution when the ball is out of the court, in a change possession or prior to a free throw.
- Each team shall be granted 1 time-out of 30 seconds. All players can request a time-out when the ball becomes dead.
- Games shall be managed by 1 referee and 1 score official.
- Each team may make a maximum of 12 fouls.
a. From the 1st to the 6th foul, the possession shall change to the team of the player receiving the foul.
b. From the 6th to the 11th foul:
i. as a general rule the player receiving the foul shall be awarded with 1 free throw;
ii. if the foul is committed on a player in the act of shooting, that player shall be awarded a number of free throws as follows:
o if the shot released form the field goal area is successful, the goal shall count and, in addition, 1 free throw;
o In the shot released from inside the arc is unsuccessful, 1 free throw; and
o If the shot released from behind the arc is unsuccessful, 2 free throws.
- Technical and unsportsmanlike will be penalized with a free throw and possession of the ball to the team on which the foul was committed. A Players shall be disqualified for the reminder of the game when he/she is charged 2 unsportsmanlike/technical fouls.
- If someone of the organization observes an unsportsmanlike behaviour in one or more persons of a team, influencing the logical development of the game, they may be disqualified from the competition.
